Design a battery charging fuzzy controller optimized by a genetic algorithm
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)
The paper presents the development of an optimized fuzzy controller using a genetic algorithm for fast battery charging and maintaining low battery temperature. The fuzzy controller is designed based on experience with two inputs, which are battery temperature and rate of battery temperature change during charging, and the output is battery charging current. The fuzzy controller parameters are optimized using a genetic algorithm to minimize a performance index related to battery charging time and battery temperature rise during charging. The simulation results show that the proposed fuzzy controller not only controls the battery charging as fast as a constant current charger but also has a lower temperature rise during charging, thereby increasing the battery lifespan.

PDF (Tiếng Việt)
Polystyrene (PS) is a commonly used thermoplastic with convenient properties and low price. Nevertheless, the amount of waste from this type of plastic has been alarmingly increasing and creating negative impacts on the environment and humans. This study aimed to isolate and select bacterial strains that have the capability of degrading PS plastics. Fifteen isolated bacterial strains were found to survive in a Basal salt medium supplemented with 0,1% PS plastic powder. Research results showed that the two strains CT26 and CT10, only developed substantial biomass at the location where polystyrene plastic sheets were placed on an agar medium. At the same time, these two bacterial strains were found to possess the PS degrading ability through the weight loss of plastic powder by 42.12% and 34.08%, respectively, after 28 days of culture in the liquid environment. The results of 16S rRNA gene sequencing showed that the two strains CT26 and CT10 were identified as Cronobacter sakazakii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, respectively, with similarities reaching 99.85% and 100%, respectively.

Assessment of Rice Production Status During the Autumn-Winter Season in An Giang Province
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)
The Mekong Delta is an essential region for rice production in Vietnam, with An Giang province playing a significant role in contributing to both rice output and economic development. However, current intensive cropping strategies in the Mekong Delta have not yielded high efficiency in rice cultivation. This study aims to evaluate the status of Autumn-Winter rice cultivation in An Giang province. Data were collected from 68 rice farming households across 9 districts using a convenient random sampling method. Information was gathered through prepared, structured questionnaires administered via Google Forms, email, Facebook, and Zalo platforms. Descriptive statistical methods were employed to assess the state of rice production, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare production input and output. The results indicate that farmers sowed seeds at high densities and applied fertilizers and pesticides at levels exceeding scientific recommendations. Additionally, the farming areas were generally small, and the rice varieties used lacked diversity, with a prevalence of low-quality varieties that negatively impacted profitability. Overall, economic efficiency remains low, and the capital returns are not favorable for the rice farmers in the region.

PDF (Tiếng Việt)
Infectious diseases caused by bacteria in striped catfish are increasingly common, causing huge losses to farmers. The study aimed to identify the bacterial pathogen that led to muscular necrosis disease in striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) at fish farms in An Giang, Can Tho, and Dong Thap provinces of the Mekong Delta. Three bacterial strains representing each province were isolated from diseased striped catfish that exhibited clinical signs such as muscular necrosis, tail erosion, and enlarged internal organs. Screening tests revealed that isolates CT5, NV9, and VH120, were found to be highly pathogenic, with LD50 values of 1,66×104 CFU/mL, 3,98×104 CFU/mL, and 1,58×103 CFU/mL, respectively. The challenged fish with these strains exhibited symptoms similar to those observed in naturally infected fish. The bacterial isolates were identified as Gram-negative, oxidase-positive, catalase-positive, and O/F test-positive, utilizing glucose, galactose, or D-mannitol as carbon sources. 16S rRNA sequencing and phylogenetic analysis revealed that the isolates exhibited 99.87% similarity and clustered with Vibrio mimicus. This study is the first to identify Vibrio mimicus as the causative agent of muscular necrosis disease in intensively farmed pangasius in the Mekong Delta.

Comprehending the summary of teaching efficacy in the facility of interior design at Yersin university
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)
Design thinking is gaining traction in a variety of fields, including technology, business, and education. Numerous big businesses and academic organizations have used this approach to encourage innovation and problem-solving. Several universities that offer design majors are incorporating design thinking into their university training programs. Still, not much is known about how successful education is. Interviews with design thinking-trained interior design students at Yersin Dalat University reveal that despite their instruction, students still struggle with recalling and putting design thinking into practice. The stages of design thinking, a deficiency in soft skills, and distance learning also have a direct impact on the efficacy of instruction. Classes on soft skills must be set up, as well as more direct instruction and engaging, hands-on activities like workshops and the application of design thinking to real-world issues. It's also vital to include the process in activities.
