Đặc điểm carbon hữu cơ trong đất và tính ổn định theo trình tự thời gian của rừng trồng keo lai (Acacia hybrid) tại ban quản lý rừng phòng hộ Xuân Lộc, tỉnh Đồng Nai
Abstract
This study was carried out to explore the dynamics of SOC accumulation and identify the major factors regulating SOC accumulation at three soil depths (0-10, 10-30, and 30-60 cm) of Acacia hybrid plantations according to different stand ages (3, 5, and 7 years old) in Xuan Loc protection forest, Dong Nai province. The study revealed that: (1) SOC content increased significantly with forest age. Furthermore, SOC concentration is primarily concentrated in the topsoil layer and decreases considerably with depth. (2) SOC stocks (TC) increased from 57.86 tons/ha (3 year old stand) to 100.57 tons/ha (7 year old stand) during the forest development. TC demonstrated noticeable surface aggregation, with more than 60% present at a depth of 0–30 cm. (3) Data from Variation Partitioning Analysis revealed that total nitrogen content, litter biomass, and soil pH were the main factors that obviously exhibited alterations in SOC content. The results of this study provide information for Acacia hybrid plantation management activities as well as for conducting modelling of C accumulation in forest soil in the area.
