Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)

This study proposes a deep learning-based model using ResNet50 for image classification in scientific articles to detect similarity and improve image similarity search. The model employs a pre-trained ResNet50 combined with a dataset of 12,049 images categorized into 11 classes extracted from the Can Tho University Journal of Science using PyMuPDF. The Activation Map Visualization method highlights training data regions through the first six channels of each different layer in the deep learning model. The results indicate that the proposed approach achieves exceeding 90% reliability in detecting image similarity and can identify the original article’s author and publication year. ResNet50 is also compared with AlexNet and VGG16, demonstrating superior generalization capability for complex image recognition tasks. The result establishes a foundation for developing an image similarity detection system for scientific publications.
Dynamic analysis of space frame system using dynamic stiffness method considering the effect of axial forces
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)

The main purpose of the study is to analyze the dynamics of space frames using the dynamic stiffness matrix method. The research presents the construction of dynamic stiffness matrices for straight frame elements subjected to axial force, torsion, and bending, taking into account the effect of axial force of the frame. These matrices are then used to develop the dynamic stiffness matrix for generalized frame elements and apply it to the dynamic analysis of space frame systems, including determining natural frequencies and mode shapes, as well as analyzing structural displacements under harmonic dynamic loading. A comparison of the results obtained using the dynamic stiffness matrix method with those obtained using the finite element method demonstrates the accuracy of the dynamic stiffness matrix method.

PDF (Tiếng Việt)

Domestic wastewater contains organic and inorganic compounds. Especially nitrogen is present in the form of ammonium and nitrate. High concentration of nitrogen in wastewater increases toxic compounds harmful to aquatic organisms and humans. Study on the efficiency of domestic wastewater treatment was carried out using activated sludge tank model combined with carriers. When the COD, BOD5, SS, and NH4+ concentrations of wastewater were 437.33 mg/L, 279.13 mg/L, 84.29 mg/L, and 31.87 mg/L, the treatment efficiency of the model was 93.17%, 89.53%, 88.96%, and 97.61%, respectively. The treated wastewater with a high N03- concentration (100.57 mg/L) was subsequently used for culturing Spirulina platensis. When 40×103 organisms/mL of microalgae were inoculated in the treated wastewater, NO3- was completely removed after 3 days of inoculation, and the microalgal biomass obtained was 48.07×103 organisms/mL. Similarly, when 20×103 organisms/mL of microalgae were inoculated, the resulting biomass was 30.44×103 organisms/mL. The value of pH, COD, BOD5, SS and the concentration of NH4+, NO3- in wastewater treated by activated sludge tank model combined with carriers followed by algae cultivation reached level A according to QCVN 14:2008/BTNMT.

Synthesis of multi-stimuli responsive fluorescent sensor for the detection of ferric ions in water
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)

Photo-switchable molecules have been recently utilized for many practical applications, especially for chemo-sensors. In this research, a smart fluorescent sensor SP-N3 was synthesized via simple reactions and its chemical structure was characterized by 1H, 13C-NMR and HR-MS spectra. Under Vis/UV light, the colorless and non-emissive close form of SP-N3 was reversibly photoisomerized to the colored and emissive open form of MC-N3. MC-N3 displayed multi-stimuli responsive optical behaviors under various conditions of solvents, UV/Vis lights, pH media, and metal ions. The red color and emission of MC-N3 were easily quenched by ferric ion interaction, which was utilized for Fe3+ detection in water with high selectivity and sensitivity (LOD = 1.683 and 0.690 mM) via UV-Vis and fluorescent techniques, respectively.

Study of fixed points and Hopf bifurcation of Hindmarsh-Rose 3D model
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)

The paper studies a class of Hindmarsh-Rose 3D model. First, necessary conditions for the parameters of the system are established in order to have a table fixed point which presents the resting state for this model. After that, using the Hopf’s theorem we prove the existence of a Hopf bifurcation, a critical point where a system’s stability switches and a periodic solution arises. More precisely, it is a local bifurcation in which a fixed point of a dynamical system loses stability as a pair of complex conjugate eigenvalues cross the complex plane imaginary axis. Moreover, with suitable assumptions for the dynamical system, a small-amplitude limit cycle branches from the fixed point.

PDF (Tiếng Việt)

This research assesses the polyphenol and flavonoid contents, antioxidant activity, and α-glucosidase inhibitory activity of the flowers, leaves, and stems of Cosmos bipinnatus using two different extraction solvents: 96% ethanol and 50% ethanol. The findings reveal that 50% ethanol is more effective at extracting polyphenols, while 96% ethanol extracts more flavonoids. Among the plant parts, the flowers contain the highest levels of polyphenols and flavonoids, followed by the leaves and stems. Extracts from the flowers also demonstrated the strongest antioxidant activity, as evaluated by IC50 values in DPPH assays (from 24.78 to 28.62 µg/mL) and reducing power assays (0.34 to 0.36 µg/mL). Additionally, the flowers and leaves exhibited better α-glucosidase inhibitory activity compared to the stems, with the 96% ethanol extract from the flowers showing the strongest inhibition (IC50 = 28.92 µg/mL), approximately 1.6 times higher than the 50% ethanol extract. The correlation between the concentrations of the investigated compounds and the observed bioactivities further emphasizes the crucial role of these compounds in the biological activities of Cosmos bipinnatus (p < 0.01).

The Conceptual Domain of “Temperature” in Vietnamese from the Perspective of Embodiment Theory
Abstract
|
PDF (Tiếng Việt)

Based on the embodiment theory of Cognitive Linguistics, this paper explores the conceptual domain of temperature in Vietnamese. Using analytical and descriptive methods, the results showed that temperature (along with some familiar concepts such as hot, warm, cool, and cold) is a dynamic conceptual domain that exists deeply in the minds of Vietnamese people. Vietnamese people visualize temperature as a scale of human emotions, relationships, personality, etc. Conceptual metaphor models such as EMOTION IS TEMPERATURE/HEAT, NEGATIVE EMOTIONS ARE HOT/COLD, POSITIVE EMOTIONS ARE WARM/COOL, FUN/PROUD IS COOL, AFFECTION IS WARMTH, etc., are established in the paper as both universal and ethnically specific. They all have a direct basis from the experience of embodiment with 3 specific types: (i) embodiment with the body, (ii) embodiment with nature, and (iii) embodiment with culture – society.
