Trong lĩnh vực dạy ngoại ngữ, thuật ngữ ?chiến lược học tập? đã và đang thu hút nhiều sự quan tâm từ các nhà nghiên cứu như Oxford và Nyikos (1989), Aslan (2009), Nguyen & Trinh (2011). Nhiều nghiên cứu đã chứng minh rằng người học ngôn ngữ ngày càng năng động và có khả năng tự điều chỉnh việc học của bản thân nhờ vào việc sử dụng những chiến lược một cách hiệu quả (Oxford, 1990). Ngày nay, nhiều nhà nghiên cứu vẫn muốn khám phá mối tương quan giữa việc sử dụng các chiến lược học ngoại ngữ và kết quả học tập của người học. Do đó, bài nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm tiếp bước xu hướng trên trong bối cảnh dạy ngoại ngữ ở Việt Nam. Trong bài nghiên cứu này, số liệu được thu thập từ 259 sinh viên không chuyên Anh văn năm nhất của khoa Sư phạm và khoa Kinh tế - Quản trị kinh doanh, trường đại học Cần Thơ, và thông qua bảng khảo sát với 50 chiến thuật học ngoại ngữ của Oxford (1990) được sử dụng. Nghiên cứu định tính này kiểm tra mối tương quan trên bằng cách so sánh, đối chiếu tần suất sử dụng các chiến lược học tập với điểm cuối kì môn Anh văn căn bản 1 của những người tham gia nghiên cứu. ...
