Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect the economic efficiency of raising pig in Can Tho city. Data for research were collected by directly interviewing 118 pig farming households in Thot Not district, Co Do district and Vinh Thanh district in Can Tho city. The descriptive statistics method and linear regression analysis were used in the study. The results show that most of pig farmers face to production risks, market risks and financial risks. The production risks and market risks are inversely correlated with the productive efficiency of pig farmers. Besides, the study also proposes some recommendations to restrict risks and enhance economic efficiency for pig farmers.

Tóm tắt

Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm xác định các yếu tố ảnh hưởng đến hiệu quả kinh tế trong chăn nuôi heo thịt ở Thành phố Cần Thơ. Số liệu của nghiên cứu được thu thập bằng cách phỏng vấn trực tiếp 118 hộ chăn nuôi heo ở quận Thốt Nốt, huyện Cờ Đỏ và huyện Vĩnh Thạnh ở Thành phố Cần Thơ. Các phương pháp thống kê mô tả và phân tích hồi qui tuyến tính được sử dụng trong nghiên cứu. Kết quả phân tích cho thấy, phần lớn hộ chăn nuôi heo gặp phải các nhóm rủi ro sản xuất, nhóm rủi ro thị trường và rủi ro tài chính. Các nhóm rủi ro sản xuất và rủi ro thị trường đều tương quan nghịch với hiệu quả chăn nuôi heo thịt của nông hộ. Bên cạnh đó, nghiên cứu còn đề xuất một số khuyến nghị nhằm hạn chế rủi ro, nâng cao hiệu quả chăn nuôi heo thịt cho nông hộ.
