Abstract

This paper reports the results of the study on chemical composition and some anti-microorganism activities of Plectranthus amboinicus Lour essential oil. In this study, the volatile oil was obtained by the steam distillation without and with the assistance of microwave. The chemical composition of volatile oil was characterized by GC?MS. While the anti-microorganism was tested by Minimum Inhibitory Concentration method (MIC). It is shown that, the main chemical compounds of Plectranthus amboinicus Lour are carvacrol (69%), cymene (9%). The essential oil is good anti-microorganism agent.

Tóm tắt

Bài báo trình bày kết quả khảo sát thành phần hóa học và hoạt tính kháng vi sinh vật của tinh dầu lá húng chanh tại huyện Thốt Nốt thành phố Cần Thơ. Tinh dầu thu được bằng phương pháp chưng cất lôi cuốn hơi nước cổ điển và chưng cất lôi cuốn hơi nước có hỗ trợ của vi sóng. Xác định thành phần hoá học bằng GC-MS. Xác định hoạt tính kháng vi sinh vật bằng phương pháp MIC. Kết quả cho thấy thành phần chính trong tinh dầu là Carvacrol (69%), Cymene (9%). Tinh dầu kháng tốt trên một số vi sinh vật thử nghiệm.
