Abstract

The study was conducted from August to December 2024 to evaluate the effectiveness of the swamp eel farming model in tanks in Long My, Vi Thanh and Chau Thanh districts, Hau Giang province. The study interviewed 52 swamp eel farming households in tanks about technical and financial aspects and advantages and disadvantages. The results showed that the swamp eel farming model in tanks has brought income to farmers. With an average stocking density of 686 ind./m² and an average farming time of 333 days/crop, the model achieved a yield of 1,243 kg/10m²/crop, with a survival rate of 79.7%. In addition, with an average revenue of 99.7 million VND/10m2/crop and a production cost of 72.7 million VND/10m2/crop, this model brings an average profit of 27.1 million VND/10m2/crop with a profit margin of 0.33 times, showing that this model has potential and brings income to swamp eel farmers. The biggest difficulty is that swamp ell get sick and production costs are high.

Tóm tắt

Nghiên cứu được thực hiện từ tháng 8 đến tháng 12/2024 nhằm đánh giá hiệu quả của mô hình nuôi lươn trong bể các huyện Long Mỹ, Vị Thanh và Châu Thành, tỉnh Hậu Giang. Nghiên cứu đã tiến hành phỏng vấn 52 hộ nuôi lươn trên bể về khía cạnh kỹ thuật, tài chính và những thuận lợi khó khăn. Kết quả cho thấy Mô hình nuôi lươn trên bể đã đem lại thu nhập cho nông dân. Với mật độ thả nuôi trung bình 686 con/m² và thời gian nuôi trung bình 333 ngày/vụ, mô hình đạt năng suất 1.243 kg/10m²/vụ, tỉ lệ sống đạt 79,7%. Bên cạnh đó, với doanh thu bình quân 99,7 triệu đồng/10m²/vụ và chi phí sản xuất 72,7 triệu đồng/10m²/vụ, mô hình này mang lại lợi nhuận trung bình 27,1 triệu đồng/10m²/vụ với tỉ suất lợi nhuận là 0,33 lần, cho thấy mô hình này có tiềm năng và đem lại thu nhập cho người nuôi lươn. Khó khăn lớn nhất là lươn bị bệnh và chi phí sản xuất cao.
