Abstract

Reading comprehension is vitally important in yielding the productive outcomes for the language learners. Cognitive and metacognitive strategies have been strongly marking the positive evidences related to reading comprehension in tremendous studies (Phakiti, 2003; Lawrence, 2009; Quach, 2010). In this study, the three most frequently used cognitive ? metacognitive strategies in reading process responded by 196 Can Tho University English-majored students through the questionnaire have been discovered. Some pedagogical implications are finally pondered in Can Tho Univesity milieu.

Tóm tắt

Đọc hiểu đóng vai trò vô cùng quan trọng vì giúp cho người học ngôn ngữ có được những kết quả học tập tốt. Các nghiên cứu trong thời gian gần đây (Phakiti, 2003; Lawrence, 2009; Quach, 2010) đã chứng minh đọc hiểu đạt được kết quả cao khi người học biết vận dụng các chiến lược nhận thức và siêu nhận thức. Thông qua bảng hỏi, bài nghiên cứu này đã phát hiện ba chiến lược đọc nhận thức và siêu nhận thức được 196 sinh viên chuyên ngành Anh văn sử dụng nhiều nhất. Từ đó, chúng tôi đưa ra một số đề xuất về những biện pháp giáo dục cho người dạy lẫn người học ngoại ngữ.
