Abstract
Industrialization - modernization is concernced by both Central Government and Local Governments in Vietnam, including Can Tho. Therefore, this paper aims to estimate the impact of human capital on the industrialization process in Can Tho. This paper employed secondary data from 1995 to 2022 collected from the Statistics Yearbook of Can Tho. The result of the Autoregressive Distributed Lag model reveals the positive significance of human capital to the industrialization of Can Tho City besides other variables, including physical capital, foreign direct investment, urbanization, and economic growth. Unit root test, test for cointergration, and Bound test were conducted to select the appropriate estimation model and post - estimation tests to get the best results.

Công nghiệp hóa - hiện đại hóa là vấn đề được quan tâm không chỉ ở Chính phủ mà còn ở các địa phương, trong đó có thành phố Cần Thơ (TPCT). Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu là xem xét sự tác động, ảnh hưởng của vốn con người đến quá trình công nghiệp hóa của TPCT. Nghiên cứu được thực hiện với bộ số liệu thứ cấp được thu thập từ Niên giám Thống kê trong giai đoạn 1995 - 2020. Kết quả ước lượng của mô hình phân phối trễ tự hồi quy (Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model - ARDL) cho thấy các biến đo lường vốn con người đều có tác động tích cực đến quá trình công nghiệp hóa của TPCT bên cạnh các biến kiểm soát là vốn vật chất, vốn đầu tư trực tiếp nước ngoài, đô thị hóa và tăng trưởng kinh tế trong dài hạn. Các kiểm định tính dừng, kiểm định đồng kết hợp và kiểm định Bound được sử dụng để đảm bảo cho việc lựa chọn đúng mô hình ước lượng, đồng thời các kiểm định sau ước lượng cũng được thực hiện để đảm bảo mô hình không vi phạm các giả định.
