Luu Trong Hieu, Nguyen Minh Nhat, Vo Hoai Truong Giang, Huynh Minh Nhut
Abstract | PDF (Tiếng Việt)
This study proposes a motion planning solution for a mobile manipulator system integrated with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). A digital map is generated from images captured by a camera mounted on the UAV, containing information about obstacles and target positions. The Dijkstra algorithm is used to compute the shortest path, allowing the robot to reach designated targets while avoiding collisions. An odometry-based method is applied to estimate the robot’s position, with data transmitted to the control computer via the UDP protocol. At each specified location, the robot uses a camera to detect the target and activates the manipulator arm to grasp the object when within range. Experimental results showed that the system operates effectively in outdoor environments, ensuring accurate navigation, localization, and manipulation. The study demonstrated the potential of autonomous robotic manipulators for outdoor applications, especially in areas that are difficult to access.

Abstract | PDF (Tiếng Việt)
This study analyzes the performance of deep learning models in network intrusion detection using the UNSW-NB15 dataset. The evaluated models include MLP, RNN, CNN, LSTM, BiLSTM, GRU, Autoencoder, and Transformer. Experimental results show that BiLSTM and GRU achieved the highest accuracy (98.78%) with relatively short training times (656.20 and 497.89 minutes). Meanwhile, the Transformer also achieved high accuracy (98.76%) but required the longest training time (1010.49 minutes). RNN and Autoencoder had the shortest training times but slightly lower accuracy (98.64% and 98.72%). BiLSTM and GRU emerged as optimal choices due to their balance between accuracy and training time, whereas Transformer is suitable for systems with abundant computational resources. This study highlights the potential of deep learning models in detecting modern network intrusions and their applicability to practical cybersecurity systems.

Nguyen Thi Bich Yen, Pham Van Hoi
Abstract | PDF (Tiếng Việt)
This study applies the Life Cycle Assessment method to analyze the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of three cabbage farming models: conventional, VietGap, and organic in suburban Hanoi. Data were collected from 182 conventional farms, 50 VietGap farms, and 49 organic farms. The results showed no significant difference in GHG emissions per unit area between the conventional (5,949 kg CO2-eq/ha) and VietGap (5,930 kg CO2-eq/ha) models, while the organic model emitted 1.5 times less. Emissions per unit of product were also not significantly different among the models. However, GHG emissions per income from product sales in the organic model (5.5 kg CO2-eq/thousand VND) were nearly three times lower than in the conventional and VietGap models. Inorganic fertilizers were the main source of emissions in the conventional and VietGap models, while organic fertilizers and energy use were the primary emission sources in the organic model. Efficient nutrient and energy management practices could help reduce GHG emissions, contributing to sustainable farming practices in Vietnam.

Vo Van Tai, Le Thi Xuan Mai, Nguyen Le Minh Nhat, Tran Le Hoang Bao, Pham Toan Dinh
Abstract | PDF (Tiếng Việt)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) classification is one of the practical applications that has garnered significant attention from many scientists around the world. This research proposes a breast cancer image classification algorithm based on the combination of fuzzy clustering analysis and the Inception ResNet V2 architecture (FCIR-V2). First, the fuzzy clustering analysis algorithm is used to segment the images into separate classes. Then, the deep learning Inception ResNet V2 architecture is applied to classify the segmented images. Based on newly established improved parameters from the fuzzy clustering analysis and Inception ResNet V2 architecture, an efficient new classification model for image classification is developed. Additionally, this model is specifically applied to the breast cancer dataset (Breast Cancer, 400x). The results showed that the algorithm used for this model is more effective than other methods, based on the ACC and F1-Score metrics.

This research analyzes the determinants of consumers’ decisions to purchase low-emission rice, based on survey data from 342 respondents in Can Tho City, An Giang, and Vinh Long provinces. A binary Logit model was employed to identify determinants of product choice. The results indicate that female consumers, those with higher education levels, and those with knowledge of green agriculture are more likely to choose low-emission rice. Households with more children and those residing in Can Tho City also showed a higher probability of selecting the product compared to other locations. The contingent valuation method revealed that consumers are willing to pay approximately VND 35,000 per kilogram, which is about 63% higher than the price of the rice they currently consume. These findings provide a foundation for proposing solutions and policy implications, such as raising public awareness, enhancing communication about environmentally friendly products, and developing appropriate pricing strategies to promote low-emission rice consumption.
